Fire Brigade keys and locks are used by emergency services and councils etc. throughout the country (although are more commonly seen within areas covered by the London Fire Brigade – LFB)
They are usually used in areas the fire brigade are likely to need to access: Gates, gas and electrical cupboards along with dry risers (although this is by far from an exhaustive list)
The drop key is commonly used on automated gates as well as front entrance doors to allow the fire brigade or emergency services access in case of an emergency.
The drop key is also sometimes used on lifts/elevators as an override key.
NOTE: In recent years there have been a few new variations of the drop key come out – please ensure that the one you need matches what is in the images shown above before placing your order.
