This Astroflame Intumescent Mastic / Fire Sealant helps to reinstate or reinforce the fire resistance of doors, walls, floor and around pipes etc.
This sealant has also been test to EN10140-2 and EN1026 standards meaning it will assist with acoustics.

Installation Guidelines:

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust or grease.
2. Application: Using a standard skeleton gun, apply the mastic firmly into the joint, ensuring full contact with the sides. Smooth the surface with a wetted spatula for a neat finish.
3. Finishing: The mastic forms a skin that can be painted over once dried, allowing for seamless integration with surrounding surfaces.

 

Compliance and Testing:

• Fire Resistance: Tested in accordance with EN1366-3:2009 (Part 3) and EN1366-4:2009 (Part 4), classified in accordance with EN13501-2.
• Acoustic Performance: Tested in accordance with EN10140-2:2010 for airborne sound, contributing to improved acoustic insulation.
